After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!” MARK 1:14-15
ONE80 is the name of our Friday meetings, because as the verse above says there is good news, God’s kingdom has come through Jesus Christ. This news demands a response, that we turn away from our own way of living and turn to Jesus and follow him. Our prayer and desire is for many teens to hear the good news of the gospel of Jesus and to do a 180 degree turn in their own lives and to follow him.
A usual Friday night at ONE80 is spent sharing a meal together, hanging out and then breaking up into small groups to spend time in God’s word together. We meet every Friday during the school term from 19:30-22:00. If you are a grade 7-12 learner, why not come and join us on Friday nights? We would love to meet you.
