What To Expect

St Stephens Bible Church

Thanks for looking in, we'd love to meet you in person.

The St Stephens family thinks that knowing and loving God is really important. You'll also detect that the Bible is central to most of what we do because that is the way in which we get to know God through his Son Jesus. The Bible tells us that Jesus has done a pretty amazing thing for us by dying on the cross in our place; so that despite us rejecting God we can still know him and even be included in his family. We think that is truly incredible!!!

8:00 Service

Traditional Service

A traditional, quieter service with hymns and liturgy. This service appeals to the older members of our congregation who love to use the prayer book liturgy, and enjoy singing traditional and well-loved hymns, accompanied by the organ.

9:30 Service

Family Service

A family-focussed service with crèche, children’s and teen’s programmes. This is by far our most popular service which extends across all ages and life circumstances. The service is livelier than the 8am, with a full band and more dynamic worship.

6:30 Service

Contemporary Service

A contemporary and vibrant service. This service is not exclusive to the younger generation and students, although it does appeal to them more. Again there is a full band and after the service we enjoy fellowship together over a home-cooked meal.

We meet every Sunday as a church family to meet together, sing together, pray together, encourage one another, and listen to God’s word being taught. We are a family-orientated church and all ages are welcome. Special programmes for children are run during the 9:30am service

You will be welcomed at the door by our stewards, who are also on hand to answer any questions or assist with any required directions. You are encouraged to arrive at least 10 minutes before the service since close parking may be limited.

Our greatest desire, whichever service you choose, is that you would get to know the Jesus that we love so much.
