Tools to unearth the Bible's Treasure

Review by Chris Ramsbottom
I read this book many years ago as a ‘young Christian’. At the time I thought I’d struck the motherload! I have just finished reading it again as a ‘mature Christian’ and my opinion hasn’t changed.
Whether you’re just starting out in your Christian walk or have been a follower of Jesus for many years, you will find Dig deeper! an immensely helpful book. In fact I’d go so far to say that this should be compulsory Christian reading.
The format of the book is for each chapter to introduce a different Bible ‘tool’. Each tool helps us to understand the Bible better. Some tools are fairly obvious and you may have heard of them before, while others may well give you an ‘A-ha!’ moment.
Beynon and Sach write with an engaging style which is easy to read. The chapters are short (on average only seven pages) which means you can read a chapter comfortably in a single sitting (on a lunch break, just before going to bed or in the bath!) Each chapter has worked examples and an opportunity for you to practice the tool for yourself.
I cannot recommend this book highly enough. Go buy yourself a copy or come and borrow mine!
